at the San Pietro di Positano
“When you find your passion, you have to go for it. My passion for food runs parallel to my passion for photography. For me, creating new dishes and creating photographs are two sides of the same coin, they go hand in hand. It’s creation. It’s art.”
Chef Alois Vanlangenaeker has been cooking for over thirty years, the last twenty as a Michelin star chef. His dishes are light, fresh & classy. Using seasonal vegetables & local ingredients, he combines a variety of flavors and textures for a truly unique culinary experience.
In 2002, Alois united his prestigious international experience together with Vito Cinque’s dream of establishing a food culture for Il San Pietro, to bring a fresh new approach to fine dining.
When not in the kitchen, Alois dedicates his time to photography. He can frequently be seen at the Positano photo lab shop or walking his two Irish Setters, Philippe & Mathilde. For more on his food and photography visit: http://www.aloisvanlangenaeker.com
