Dining

The scent of the sea coupled with extraordinary vistas overlooking the coast makes dining at Il San Pietro di Positano a truly sensory experience. Chef Alois Vanlangenaeker combines tradition with innovation, giving classic regional recipes a modern touch.

The cuisine is light, the ingredients seasonal. Much of the produce used in our kitchens is grown in San Pietro’s organic vegetable gardens or sourced from local suppliers.

He absolutely loved this car. We used the Ghia Jolly to shuttle guests between the San Pietro and Positano.”An elite status symbol of Italian engineering, brochures from Ghia described it as the “Jolly de Plage”, or the “Joker of the beach”. The statue watching over the grand salone was a gi The statue watching over the grand salone was a gift from a grateful guest who saw it in a ceramics shop and, being told it was a statue of San Pietro, gifted it to Carlino. As Italians are well acquainted with their saints, Carlino immediately noted that the statue was actually of San Gennaro (Saint John), but he took it as a symbol of good luck anyway and set the saint on his pedestal where he has blessed the hotel for 40 years.#ilsanpietrodipositano #sangennaro #relaischateaux #positano #ilsanpietro #amalficoast
